WANTED – BASIC RECRUIT TRAINING COURSES NEED INSTRUCTORS

Over the last year the instructional staff at Recruit Training Squadron (RTS) have been showcasing their work in an effort to attract new instructors to the Squadron. Station photographers were there to record their work and as a number of images were taken before Covid it was prior to social distancing.

The Basic Recruit Training Course for the RAF comprises of many areas of military training; from kit preparation, ironing, field craft, first aid, drill, Air Power knowledge and weapon training.  This would not be achievable without the dedication, professionalism and talents of the Recruit Training Squadron Instructors.

These instructors are specifically selected by their Trades as ambassadors and role models of the RAF and they all have to undergo a rigorous selection process in order to join the Squadron.  It is down to their hard work, leadership and inventive teaching skills that we see so many airmen and women successfully graduate from RAF Halton and join the RAF family.
