RAFAC HQ takes the safety of cadets extremely seriously and has a dedicated Security Team with many years of military experience. The RAFAC Security Team of FS Ian Smith and WO Brian Parton recently met with Adam Thomson, the Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) at New Scotland Yard.
The meeting reinforced the ongoing partnership that ensures RAFAC enjoys access to NaCTSO products such as the ProtectUK App and online eLearning package, whilst quality assuring RAFAC specific security products to the highest of standards.
Last year this collaboration, involving Sgt Dylan Degman from 2460 (Pontefract) Sqn and Paul Hirst, Head of Product Research & Development at NaCTSO, led to the delivery of the Security Training for Senior Cadets interactive briefing tool, that went on to be nominated for Government and Industry Security awards. Work is ongoing to ensure more interactive packages are released in 2023.
