RAF Air Cadet musicians support Dreamflight

The National Parade Band and Choir had a special gig at the weekend - they performed for hundreds of children and supported the Dreamflight charity at Heathrow Airport.

It was the first time that the Choir has been part of the special event and they went down a storm with the crowds.

DreamFlight provides a trip of a lifetime to Very Important Children who have persevered through significant challenges. They were joined by the Band and Choir at their party on Saturday night which was followed by a reunion in the hangar before they boarded their flight on Sunday morning.

“It was such a pleasure to see the collaboration between the Parade Band and members of the Choir being so much joy to the children! The atmosphere on the Saturday evening and Sunday morning was fantastic and will hopefully create some lovely memories for all involved!”

Cadet Corporal Ferreira (Choir) said "this has been one of the most rewarding weekends".  Cadet Flight Sergeant Lacey (Parade Band) had "a great experience" and "would love to do it again next year!".  The good news is that Dreamflight loved the Band and Choir, and have already invited them back.

Once the aircraft (A350) was loaded the cadets were joined by the cast of Star Wars and the Heathrow Firefighters for a team photo!
