Personal Support and Social Work Service RAF - from SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity

It’s now easier than ever for all RAF Regular and Reserves personnel and their families to access welfare support via SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Thanks to SSAFA’s brand new Digital Welfare Hub with new WhatsApp and Live Chat functions, the same service is now more accessible for anyone who needs support, at any time, wherever they are. Please see below for more details, provided by SSAFA.

About the service

Whatever someone’s rank, whatever challenges they face, SSAFA's team of Welfare Officers can provide practical advice and a listening ear.

We’re here to give people the tools and knowledge they need to take control of their situation. There’s not much we can’t help with. But some of the most common issues we hear about are relationship issues, money worries, bereavement, mental health and separation.

Everything we’re told is confidential, and we’re independent of the chain of command.

Over 30 years of experience

Our Personal Support and Social Work Service has been helping the RAF community since 1990. That’s over 30 years of expertise and experience, from people who ‘get’ it. We understand military life. We know the issues you face. You never have to battle alone.
