After a thrilling 2017 display season, Flight Lieutenant Simon Owen, has handed over the esteemed title of Officer Commanding the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team to Flight Lieutenant David Sellers.

After a busy and exciting two years, Flight Lieutenant Simon Owen will now return to Airborne Delivery Wing, Parachute Training Squadron, where Simon will be responsible for the delivery of parachuting exercises all over the world, and the delivery of advanced parachute training for UK Airborne Forces.

“It’s been an absolute honour to have commanded the RAF Falcons for the 2017 display season. This will definitely be one of the highlights of my career in the Royal Air Force; it’s provided me with the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of true professionals, who uphold the highest standards throughout both our parachute displays and our engagement activities with the public. The highlight of the season had to be the display into the gardens of Buckingham Palace; a lot of hard work and planning went into the event and the whole team were extremely proud to jump in front of members of the Royal Family.”
