Flight Lieutenant Simon Owen said: “It’s been an absolute honour to have commanded the RAF Falcons for the 2017 display season. This will definitely be one of the highlights of my career in the Royal Air Force; it’s provided me with the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of true professionals, who uphold the highest standards throughout both our parachute displays and our engagement activities with the public. The highlight of the season had to be the display into the gardens of Buckingham Palace; a lot of hard work and planning went into the event and the whole team were extremely proud to jump in front of members of the Royal Family.”
Flight Lieutenant David Sellers who has been the Deputy Officer Commanding the RAF Falcons, throughout the 2017 season, will hand the reins of this role to Flight Lieutenant Mikaela Harrison who has been selected to join the team this year.
Flight Lieutenant David Sellers said:
“Taking over as Officer Commanding for the 2018 Display season is a great honour and privilege; even more so, given that it is the Royal Air Force Centenary Year. The past year has been extremely busy but incredibly rewarding; I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a professional team and look forward to another successful season.”
