Beyond the Blue is a four-part video series that shines a light on the people behind the uniform. In each episode, two members of the RAF swap jobs for the day: stepping into unfamiliar roles, gaining new perspectives, and opening up about the realities of life in the Service.
Episode One
A400M Pilot Calvin and Parachute Jump Instructor Alex swap roles in episode one of the series. Flight simulators, VR descents, and a leap from the fan descender trainer... it’s a day of discovery, plenty of laughs, and shared respect.
Episode Two
Tez, an RAF nurse, steps into the tower to direct aircraft as an air traffic controller, while Adam, an ATC instructor, suits up for a high-pressure medical challenge onboard an A400M. It’s a test of nerves, teamwork and trust in two very different environments.
Episode Three
Military Working Dog Handler Laura joins Logistics Mover Lloyd on the ramp to support in loading a C-17... Lloyd then takes the lead (literally!) in a drugs detection dog search.
