83 Expeditionary Air Group’s Deputy Air Component Commander (DACC (ME)) Group Captain Lefroy has now come to the end of his operational tour on Operation Shader.
His leadership and collaboration with coalition forces have been crucial in supporting the Middle East during challenging times.
As he hands over command to Group Captain Higgins, it's clear that he holds great appreciation for his team, referring to them as the "beating heart of UK Air Power in the Middle East."
The handover of authority parade continues to mark the significant responsibilities UK armed forces have in promoting regional peace and security in the region. Currently improving stability across our partner nations will develop a secure region for all to prosper.
As Group Captain Higgins takes over he thanked Group Captain Lefroy for his outstanding commitment to the RAF and all he has done during his tenure. He continued to say that we will remain committed and ready for all eventualities and whilst delivering excellent Air Power in the region.
