As Her Majesty arrived at the Station, children from the local Cherry Tree Academy and the Rainbow Centre, along with families and members of the local community lined the roads up to the camp gates waving flags and cheering to welcome The Queen as her car passed by.

Her Majesty was transported to the Integrated Training Centre where she was first introduced to personnel from across the station before moving into the training areas to watch demonstrations of engine maintenance,  weapons load and a canopy change. During the demonstration Her Majesty spoke to students from the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy who are attending the training courses within the Integrated Training Centre.

Her Majesty was then taken to the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess where she met Senior Non-Commissioned Officers and Junior Ranks, along with civilian personnel, and spoke to them about their various roles at RAF Marham before moving off to the Officers' Mess for lunch.

RAF Marham Station Commander, Group Captain Jim Beck said

"RAF Marham is very proud to have The Queen as The Honorary Air Commodore of the base and it is always an honour to welcome Her Majesty to the Station. This was an opportunity to showcase some of the new Lightning facilities that are now in use on Her Majesty's Station and to introduce her to some of the personnel that work here."
