Strategic Impact

Operation Highmast and CSG25 underscore the UK’s leadership in collective defence. By spearheading this deployment, the UK reaffirmed its commitment to NATO and global security, while enhancing interoperability with partners beyond the alliance. The operation provided vital experience for joint operations and showcased advanced UK capabilities, particularly the F-35B Lightning, the pivotal 5th generation element of combat air.

As global threats evolve, the lessons from Highmast will ensure the UK and its allies remain ready to respond with confidence and resilience.
