On the 5th September 2021, members of the RAF Police Dog Display team supported the RAF Benevolent Fund at the Torque Show.
The RAF Police Dog display team provided a live demonstration of Military Working Dog capabilities at the Show which was held in the grounds of Broomhall House in Fife.
"It’s an incredible feeling to be able to meet the public at such an amazing and historic location in Scotland. To be able to showcase our capabilities, along with the hard work and dedication from the handlers and dogs, even after the constraints of COVID-19, is an amazing feeling. I’m proud to be able to manage this year’s team for the first time and this is an excellent event to start with due to the close connection the team has with the RAF Benevolent Fund."
Sergeant Webb
RAF Police Dog Display Team Manager
The Scottish Torque Show is a unique and relaxed car show, with various static stands based in Scotland. This event not only raises awareness for the RAF Benevolent Fund, who continue to support veterans and serving members of the RAF and their families, but also gives a portion of the funds raised to the charity.
Gavin Davey OBE is the Director of the RAF Benevolent Fund for Scotland, Northern Ireland & North-East England, and also organised the event.
"We were delighted to have the RAF Police Dog Display Team at the RAF Benevolent Fund’s largest event in Scotland this year. They really impressed the large crowd, who thoroughly enjoyed ‘meeting the dogs’, and complemented the outstanding quality of aircraft and supercars on display at Broomhall House in Fife. A huge thanks to the dogs and their highly professional handlers."
Gavin Davey OBE
RAF Benevolent Director
During the event the RAF Police Dog Display Team were presented with a unique Typhoon shaped dog bowl which was handmade by Gavin Davey. The gift was presented as a thank you to the RAF Police for their continued support to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
