RAF Typhoons Deploy to Qatar

Four RAF Typhoon aircraft have deployed from RAF Coningsby to Qatar, in order to bolster the UK’s air presence in the Middle East. The aircraft will integrate with the existing UK Typhoon force already in theatre and operate alongside personnel from 12 Squadron and the Qatari Typhoon squadron.

The deployment reinforces the United Kingdom’s commitment to regional stability and collective security with its partners in the Gulf. Operating from Qatar, the additional Typhoon aircraft are tasked to support Bahraini and Emirati air defence and will enhance the RAF’s ability to conduct air operations and contribute to ongoing efforts to deter escalation and maintain security across the region.
