A Royal Air Force A400M Atlas from the Air Mobility Force has landed in the Anderson Air Force Base in Guam for Exercise Mobility Guardian. This deployment is supporting a US-led multi-national tactical training exercise based around joint forceable entry, humanitarian relief operations and aeromedical evacuation in a contested battlespace.

The RAF team has successfully completed missions incorporating the delivery of freight to remote airstrips and conducting aeromedical evacuations. As the exercise progresses, scenarios increase in complexity, involving challenging airdrops and mass casualty drills.
This deployment is part of a larger initiative, that includes five exercises across 50 locations with over 400 aircraft and 12,000 personnel, aiming to refine operations and improve interoperability with allied nations.

What does this include?
- Overseas engineering capability to support sustained operations.
- Joint and combined operations to enhance interoperability.
- Global Air Transport operations including:
- Medical evacuation and non-permissive sorties.
- Day and Night Tactical Landing Zone operations.
- Day Drop Zone training.
- Airdrop of US-built container delivery system loads.
- Maritime recovery.
- Search and Rescue.
