UK Air and Space Attaché visits Combined Force Space Component Command at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
Air Commodore Jez Attridge, the UK Air and Space Attaché to the United States, visited Vandenburg Air Force Base, California, last week, in a two-day visit starting on 12 May 2021.
During his visit to the base, Air Commodore Attridge was briefed on, and met the leadership of, the US Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC). He was also briefed on the US-led Combined Space Operations Centre, and the US 18th Space Control Squadron, and met with Vandenberg-based UK personnel.
Air Commodore Attridge met with Major General DeAnna Burt, the CFSCC commander. During their meeting, the two talked about the many benefits of the significant increase in UK exchange and liaison personnel assigned to both the 18th Space Control Squadron and CFSCC. They also discussed increasing data sharing and cooperation in future years.
