2620 Squadron RAuxAF Regiment

2620 Squadron RAuxAF Regiment falls under 3 Force Protection Wing.  It is a RAF Reserve Combined Force Protection Squadron offering RAF Police and RAF Regiment roles.

The Squadron is based at RAF Marham, and often offers mobilisation opportunities in the UK and overseas, as well as training and operation in ground-based security roles.  They require a minimum commitment of 27 days (paid) per year which results in an annual tax-free lump sum ‘bounty’ payment.



1983 - Formed as a Field Squadron.

2000 - Re-roled as an Operations Support Squadron.

2003 - Deployed to Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait where it supported operations in Iraq as part of Operation TELIC.

2004 - The Squadron reverted to its former status as an Auxiliary RAF Regiment Field Squadron.
