1940 - Formed at RAF Bentley Priory to provide anti-aircraft defence for Fighter Command HQ before the formation of the RAF Regiment.

1944 - Entered Normandy with the as 2713 Squadron.

1947 - Renumbered 51 Squadron.

1982 - Re-equipped with the CVR(T) vehicle.

2001 - Reformed at RAF Honington.
