Air Traffic Controllers Cycle to Paris

Three Air Traffic Controllers from RAF Benson have cycled from the base to Paris in just 2 days to raise funds for the charity Little Troopers.

Squadron Leader Si Stait, Flight Sergeant Jon Burt-Matthews and Sergeant Ian Emery have all deployed while being parents and appreciate the support that the charity Little Troopers provide to Service families.  They have 5 children between them and understand the difficulties their families face while they are overseas.

Jon said: "Every time I move, it's a reminder of all our Service families and children go through."

They cycled from RAF Benson to Paris, a 250-mile expedition, and aim to raise £800 to help the charity continue to provide support and resources to everyone involved in the care of military children.

Louise Fetigan, the founder of the charity, said, "We love that families come to and enjoy our events and it’s only with their fundraising that we can keep providing things like the Little Treasures app and our separation packs that are valued by so many children, parents and schools.  We all wish good luck to Jon, Ian and Simon with their amazing challenge."
