The command of the Air Command and Control (Air C2) Force has formally passed from Group Captain Lisa Foy to Group Captain Chris Misiak during a ceremony at RAF Boulmer.
Group Captain Misiak returns to RAF Boulmer having previously served at the Station from 2019 to 2021 as Officer Commanding Control and Reporting Centre.
Based at RAF Boulmer, the Air C2 Force delivers 24/7 Air Command and Control in support of the defence of the United Kingdom, assigned NATO airspace and operations overseas. Comprising 19 Squadron, 20 Squadron and 144 Signals Unit at RAF Boulmer, alongside 78 Squadron at NATS Swanwick, the Force provides the command, control, surveillance and communications capabilities that enable the continuous protection of UK and NATO airspace.

Over the last two years, I have been continually inspired by the skill, resilience and commitment of our people, who have delivered operational excellence at home and abroad while helping shape the future of Air Command and Control.

She added that she was delighted to hand command to Group Captain Misiak and looked forward to seeing him build on the strong foundations established across the Force.
