This invitation is extended approximately every six weeks to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria and is between the ages of 18 and 55. It was an impressive turnout with individuals being prepared to travel from as far afield as Yorkshire, Lancashire, the West Midlands, Dorset, and NE Somerset to see RAF Movements in action and talk with serving part-time volunteer reservists about their unique and varied experiences with the Squadron, whilst also holding down full-time civilian jobs and successfully managing family life.

It proved to be a very busy day, starting with presentations about what the selection process entails and what's involved in Phase One and Two training, the opportunity to see inside a C-17 Globemaster, observing members of 4624 Squadron who were conducting monthly training honing their trade skills on the live airframe.

The final briefs of the day explained how best to approach civilian employers about potential Reserve Service and how future mobilisations and Defence Exercise taskings all over the world would work, giving all those who pass selection and training a fantastic opportunity to travel overseas, whilst working alongside their Reservist and Regular RAF colleagues.
