RAF Brize Norton commemorated the Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary with a ceremony outside the Officers' Mess on Tuesday 15th September (Battle of Britain Day).
The socially distanced parade was attended by Commander Air Wing, Group Captain Simon Blackwell.
Yesterday, 17th September, the Oxfordshire community where fortunate to see a Spitfire flypast by Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to mark the anniversary.
The Spitfire's arrival was honoured by a Sunset ceremony, in the presence of our Station Commander, Group Captain Emily Flynn.
This flypast was made even more poignant as the Spitfire flying over was the Mk2, P7350, the only serviceable Spitfire in the whole world that actually fought in the Battle of Britain.
