Sean commissioned in 2002 and Liz swiftly after in 2003, they got married in 2011 having met previously whilst Sean was in a No. 1 Group Fast Jets Plans role at Headquarters Air Command and Liz was a Jaguar Junior Engineering Officer on No. 6 Squadron at RAF Coningsby.

“It has been a hugely demanding and rewarding tour commanding over 600 engineering and logistics personnel.  No two days have been the same, with each aircraft type and parachute system presenting their own unique challenges. I will miss the role and working with such a dedicated and hardworking team, but I am sure I will get a daily de-brief from my successor for the next two years!”

The role of Engineering and Logistics Wing is to support and assure the delivery of aircraft and equipment for the Air Mobility Force, lodger and parented units. This includes ensuring the continuing airworthiness of the A400M, C-17, C-130J and Voyager fleets, as well as Airborne Equipment.

“It is an absolute privilege to have been selected to command Engineering and Logistics Wing at RAF Brize Norton. For the past two years I have had an appreciation of some of the challenges (and late nights!) in such a diverse role, but I am aware of the fantastic team that I will be so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with.”
