On 25th June, Royal Air Force Brize Norton welcomed members of the local community, bringing together a group who have long wished to visit the Station.
Amongst those visiting were members of Probus club Winchcombe and a group of residents from Richmond Village retirement home in Witney. They were joined by Mr Mick Bedding; a retired BT engineer who installed a large amount of telecommunications equipment on the station in the 1970s.
During the visit, the group were given a tour of a C-17 Globemaster III and an insight into the Parachute Training School, hosted by WO Martin White.
“This visit has been most interesting and has given us a greater understanding of what goes on behind the fence line surrounding RAF Brize Norton. It has been most enjoyable”.

Probus Club
The Probus club also donated £150 to the RAF Benevolent Fund, which the charity were hugely grateful to receive.
