On Tuesday 13th August 2019, RAF Brize Norton hosted a special ‘open day’ for members of the public.
Over 100 people from far and wide descended onto the Station, to view live demonstrations from Tactical Medical Wing, II Squadron RAF Regiment, Tactical Air Traffic and the RAF Police Dog Demonstration Team.
Our guests which included members of the British Korean War Veterans, Swindon Catenian Group and PROBUS Winchcombe, also had the chance to look around our Air Mobility aircraft and interact with personal from across the Station. A fantastic opportunity to see first-hand a busy RAF Station and strengthen our relationship with the local community.
“The opportunity to visit an RAF station such as this has been amazing, and our group are so lucky to be here. It has been a lovely day and thank you to RAF Brize Norton and all who made it possible.”
Mr Stanley Pace

The open day, which coincided with the Station’s 82nd birthday was devised to not only consolidate many visits hosted by the Station but also to offer an enhanced visitor experience.
