The RAF Brize Norton Charities Committee was approached by Squadron Leader Lisa Galbraith to help replace old outdated tablets for the RAF Brize Norton Pre-School. Through various fund-raising initiatives, the committee were able to purchase five iPad Minis and cases to the value of £1,912.95.
RAF Brize Norton Pre-School requires a tablet to be assigned to each Key Worker for use within the classroom as a teaching aid and for the purpose of writing up their daily observations to the children’s Learning Journals. These Learning Journals are utilised to track the individual child’s learning journey and development in line with the Government EYFS mandated curriculum; the record is also then transferred to their chosen school when they move on posting and/or start Primary School (Foundation/Reception). Furthermore, the Learning Journal is on-line, which enables deployed parents to maintain contact with their children’s learning journey and actively engage from afar.
