Exercise Joint Warrior, which commenced on 21st April, is a Tri-Service and multinational exercise, conducted throughout the UK, in Spring and Autumn of each year. It is one of the largest exercises of its kind in Europe.
Royal Air Force Brize Norton is supporting the Exercise by utilising several Station elements, including Nos. 10, 47 and 101 Squadrons, and Parachute Training Squadron (PTS).
Number 47 Squadron, in conjunction with PTS, carried out parachute drops, from their C-130J Hercules aircraft, in support of land manoeuvre operations in the Salisbury Plain Training Area, and the A330 Voyager, operated by Nos. 10 and 101 Squadrons, is being used to conduct air-to-air refuelling flights, in support the fast jets, throughout the exercise.
Exercise Joint Warrior demonstrates the UK’s commitment to working with our allies so that we are prepared to meet future threats to our shared security. Knowledge, skills, and resources were shared to deliver a rapidly deployable, flexible and integrated joint force.
