On 23 October 2020, Air Commodore Domonic Stamp officially handed over the role of Air Mobility Force Commander to Air Commodore David Manning.
After serving three years at RAF Brize Norton, Air Commodore Domonic Stamp departs for pastures new at RAF High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

“It has been a privilege to have served for over three years as the Air Mobility Force Commander. I will miss working with such a forward leaning, dedicated, and professional group of people, but will not miss the phone calls in the early hours of the morning.”

The Air Mobility Force provides UK Defence with the ability to deploy, sustain and recover personnel and equipment, often over significant distance. Air mobility consists of three mission types: airlift; air-to-air refuelling (AAR); and personnel recovery.
Air Commodore David Manning will now lead the Air Mobility Force Headquarters, a 1-star tactical level organisation, and will be responsible for ensuring that they generate requirements and coordinate future planning for the Air Mobility Force.
