Royal Air Force Brize Norton thanks families

On Friday 29th May RAF Brize Norton held its annual Families' Day for 2026, bringing together people from across the entire Brize community for a day of entertainment and fun!

The Families' Day day is an opportunity to say thank you to everyone who works at RAF Brize Norton and recognise the resilience and strength of military families.

Families Day saw each of the aircraft types based at RAF Brize Norton opened for families and friends of personnel to get up close and take a look inside the Air Mobility Force fleet. The aircraft were set up alongside stalls, attractions, fairground rides, live demonstrations and live music on stage – there was something for everyone!

Group Captain Louise Henton said:

“Our Station is more than a workplace; it’s a community strengthened by families. Families' Day reminds us that our achievements are shared and our gratitude is enduring. Families' Days are extremely important, and it was good to see everyone coming together to enjoy and share the day”
