SERGEANT STEVENS GAINS COMBAT READY STATUS ON A400M

Sergeant Greg Stevens, a Loadmaster on A400M Atlas aircraft, has become the first direct entrant on the A400M to achieve combat ready status.

Greg arrived on Number LXX Squadron in December 2017 and started his combat ready work in January 2018 During this period, Greg operated on tasks in support of numerous operations worldwide. In total, Greg has already flown 145 hours on the A400M Atlas, experiencing the extremes of Norway on Exercise Cold Enabler to Exercise Mayhan Warrior in Belize.

The A400M Atlas is one of the newest aircraft within the Air Mobility Force, entering operational service with the Royal Air Force in 2014. The Atlas provides tactical airlift and strategic oversize lift capabilities complementing those of the C-130J Hercules and C-17A Globemaster III fleets.
