Of the four RAF nominations and three finalists Chief Technician Morgan came away with both her category of ‘Resolute Spirit Award’ and ‘Woman of the Year’. She is pictured alongside MoD Chief Operating Officer Nina Cope who presented her award.
Her work with the Shropshire Domestic Abuse Services and creation of the Defence Domestic Abuse Survivor Community & Awareness Network as well personal triumphs and a relentless dedication to others made her an exceptional role model and a deserving recipient of the honourable award.
The Awards recognise the amazing contributions that women make to Defence, with nominees from across the UK Armed Forces, MOD Civil Service, the Intelligence Agencies, Defence industry and the Defence third sector all represented.
Since its inception in 2011 over 3200 Service and civilian personnel have been nominated for their extraordinary work towards the Women in Defence Charter which strives to support the ambition of 30% of all roles to be filled by women by 2023.
Congratulations to all who were nominated for their achievements over the last year.
