CAS Visits and a Message From HRH The Princess Royal

HRH The Princess Royal was due to be at RAF Cosford today to celebrate No 1 School Technical Training’s Centenary.

Due to the Coronavirus she was unable to attend; however, she very kindly shared this message with the School highlighting its success in its first 100 years and looking forward to the next 100.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mike Wigston, visited RAF Cosford on 24 June to mark the Centenary of No 1 School of Technical Training.

During the visit he met personnel and students and viewed some of the technology currently in use across the School.

 During his visit he placed a rivet in the Centenary Board created by Mechanical Training Squadron.

A special work of art was unveiled to mark the 100th anniversary of No 1 School of Technical Training.  Artist,  Keith Burns is renowned for his aviation art and this is the second piece of his formal work that hangs at Cosford.
