The Birmingham International Tattoo

Personnel from across RAF Cosford took part in the Birmingham International Tattoo this weekend. The Queen's Colour for No 1 School of Technical Training was paraded in front of thousands of people. The Colour is unique in being the only one in any of the armed Services which is paraded by non-commissioned personnel, a privilege which normally only falls to commissioned officers.

Sqn Ldr Dave Kerrison said; As the Parade Commander for this year's Birmingham International Tattoo I was blown away by the incredible support provided by the crowd and it was an absolute honour to represent No.1 School of Technical Training and the Royal Air Force.

We took part in the Field Gun competition against teams from the Royal Navy and the British Army. It was a very close match this year but we were pipped at the post by 0.8 of a second by the Royal Navy.
