Health and welfare
MEDICAL CENTRE
There is no medical centre at RAF Fylingdales.
RAF Leeming offer medical provision for RAF Fylingdales Service Personnel.

NHS 111 can be accessed evenings, weekends and on public holidays.
Dependants of Service Personnel should register at a surgery near to their residence.
Dental centre
Dental services are provided to service personnel through Defence School of Transport Dental Centre

SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (SSAFA PS&SWS RAF)
SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (PS&SWS RAF) is contracted by the RAF to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. A team of specialist Personal and Family Support Workers and Social Workers are located at various RAF stations.
The service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of the service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.
The service can support you with a range of issues including addiction and dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships. Anyone, regular, reserve, or dependent, can refer themselves to SSAFA.
The local representative is located at RAF Leeming however home visits and remote support is available at RAF Fylingdales.

Sports
Station gym
The gym has a fitness suite and classes.
Membership to the gym can be obtained for all RAF personnel, their dependants and contractors currently working at RAF Fylingdales only.
Opening times: Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day for the fitness suite and Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm for the classes.

Social
RAF Fylingdales has its own community centre in Whitby, very close to the Service Family Accommodation. The centre has a play park and regularly holds coffee mornings and events.
RAF Fylingdales has its own cinema room on Station with a range of new films available through BFBS Cinelink.
