Family Contact and Temporary Accommodation

RAF Halton has four contact / welfare houses available to book.

They all have three bedrooms, sleeping up to five guests and a travel cot is provided.

The houses are fully equipped but you would be required to provide, Duvet Covers, Sheets, Pillow Cases, Towels and all toiletries.

The Regional Medical Centre is provided for service personnel but can offer care to service personnel dependants who fall within the Medical Centre's catchment area.

Dental Centre

The Dental Centre at RAF Halton is tasked to provide routine and emergency dental treatment for service personnel in order to maintain their dental health to the functional standards laid down in Surgeon General Policy and Standards Document for Primary Dental Care.

SSAFA PS&SWS RAF

SSAFA offers a Personal Support and Social Work Service to Serving Personnel within the RAF, and their dependents.  Our team of specialist Personal & Family Support Workers and Social Workers can support you with a broad range of social issues including bereavement, finances, housing, relationships and mental health.

  • we offer a confidential service that sits outside of the Chain of Command
  • anyone can self-refer themselves to SSAFA, which is available Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5pm
  • you can make contact by any of the ways below; our staff are ready to listen and help

Sports

Station gym

The gym has a fitness suite and classes.

You can join the station gym if you are dependant of RAF personnel, but you will need to ask your serving spouse or partner to apply for RAF ID to use the gym and sports facilities unaccompanied.

Social

The Trinity Community Centre is home to our Community Support Team, our Soft Play and our Breakway Hall.

Serving Personnel and their families are to use this facility at a nominal annual fee.

The TCC is the heart of the RAF Halton Community with events planned throughout the ear to support servicing personnel and their families.  It is also available for Serving Personnel to hire the facility at the weekends for private parties.

Other facilities

Thrift Shop

Serving personnel family members can sell items through the Thrift Shop on the Station, 20% of the sale price goes to charity. You can also volunteer at the shop.

You will need to ask your spouse or partner to apply for RAF ID to use the shop unaccompanied by RAF personnel.
