Since its creation the Inter-European Air Forces’ Academy (IEAFA) has facilitated training in leadership and management to more than 860 military personnel from 40 different countries.
However, the latest well-attended class 20A, comprising of 24 commissioned officers and 20 senior non-commissioned officers (SNCOs) from 21 different nations, including the UK for the first time, this was IEAFA’s
largest professional military education entry to date. Aligned with the Airmen’s Command Squadron at RAF Halton and the Defence Academy at Shrivenham, this investment of professional military education will shape
future generations by developing their leadership, fellowship and decision-making skills in a multi-national environment.
Sergeant Andy Giles, A Chinook crewman and Flight Sergeant (FS) Mark Moore, a Defence Trainer at the Airmen’s Command Squadron, set the standard by receiving the ‘Distinguished Graduate’ award based on academic average, leadership and recommended by their peers and instructors.
Mark said: “I would strongly recommend this course to any officer or SNCO who wishes to enhance their leadership ability in a multi-national environment, as it will develop their existing skills in preparation for working more closely with our partner nations in the future”.
