HALTON REMEMBERS

Station Personnel, Civil Servants and Contractors have joined together to remember the fallen from both great wars and recent conflicts.

They gathered in the Initial Force Protection Hangar prior to the Royal Air Force Halton Colour being marched in and placed on the drums by Padre Dave Skillen to mark the start of the ceremony.

‘ For the Fallen’, a poem by Robert Binyon, was read and all bowed their heads in prayer before the bugle played the Last Post to mark the beginning of the minutes silence.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We Will Remember Them”
