HONOURS AND AWARDS AT RAF HALTON

Eleven awards in all, have been presented to Station Personnel in a ceremony in Halton House this week.

Two Royal Warrants were presented to WO Darrel Keane from CTS and WO Tracey Kenworthy PMS. Sgt Martin IFPT, Cpl Hill IFPT, and Cpl Judith Fellows RTS, were all awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medals.

SAC Thomas Cann ACSSU, received the CAS Apprenticeship Award for his completion of apprenticeship as a Royal Air Force Photographer. AOC 22 Gp’s Individual Commendation was awarded to Sqn Ldr Norey COS CTS, and Cpl Purnell RAFP. Sqn Ldr Lawrence Humphreys RTS, won the Deputy Commander’s Commendation and FS Wayne Hopewell, IFPT received the RAF Regiment Commandant Generals Commendation.  Finally Cpl Pete Ashmore, IFPT was awarded his RAF Sports Colours for representing the RAF in Ju Jitzu.

The Station Commander, Gp Capt Katherine Wilson OBE, who presented the awards, praised all the recipients for their professionalism and devotion to duty.  She said: “I was honoured to present these awards to RAF Halton personnel who have given many years of dedicated and outstanding service.  Not forgetting families and friends who continue to support their loved ones, especially during these challenging times.”
