Congratulations to the five RAF Halton personnel who took part in RAFA Rides 2023 which raised almost £1400.
Mr Tredgett, Wing Commander Young, Squadron Leader Gibson, Flying Officer Benfield and Mr Freeman all completed 105 miles of cycling to raise money for the RAF Association Charity!
The team began with a figure of 8 route around Buckingham, ranging as far as RAF Croughton.
In total, they were in the saddle for over 8 hours with short ‘refuelling’ stops at the 25, 50 and 80-mile point along the route.
The route consisted of mostly minor roads meaning the team could focus on the more than 4,500ft of ascent along the route.
The hill near Waddesdon Manor was a test for some, but not for the Team Captain Mr Tredgett who, having summited the climb, rode back to offer encouragement to the rest of the team.
