Royal Air Force Halton personnel have supported numerous Remembrance Parades and services this weekend, with the provision of Service Personnel to neighbouring towns and villages in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Station Commander, Group Captain Katherine Wilson attended Aylesbury where the Parade took place by the Cenotaph on the market square. She laid a wreath on behalf of the Station supported by The RAF Halton Pipes and Drums and Initial Force Protection Flight staff.

Wing Commander Ian Hough, OC Ops and Plans Wing went to both Halton Village Service in the morning and the Wendover Parade in the afternoon. Our closest neighbours, the two villages have close links with the Station.
“I had the privilege to represent Royal Air Force Halton at both the Parish of Halton and Wendover Remembrance Sunday parades.” Said Wing Commander Hough. “It was with great pleasure and pride that I was able to represent RAF Halton on this auspicious occasion where we were able to remember both service and civilian personal that have given their lives in the defence of this country. Marking the 100th anniversary of the Armistice made the occasion even more poignant. I had the opportunity to join (Halton) Air Cadet Unit as they spent some time laying remembrance crosses on the graves of servicemen within the Halton Church graveyard, the unit had spent time researching each individual, their service history and then a cadet of the same age laid an individual remembrance cross. A weekend of reflection, thanking our predecessors for their ultimate sacrifice and for encouraging the next generation to continue remembering fallen service persons from all countries and across all conflicts.”

Warrant Officer Andy Cashmore was the wreath bearer, with Officer Commanding Training Wing, Wing Commander Travis Tonkin laying the wreath at a Parade in Hemel Hempstead, where earlier in the year RAF Halton exercised The Freedom Of The Town
Squadron Leader Paul Knowler, OC Airmen’s Command Squadron laid a wreath at Aston Clinton by the War Memorial followed by a church service.
Logistics and Supply Training Squadron attended the Berkhamsted Service of Thanksgiving and Wreath laying ceremony, and Squadron Leader Giles Davies, OC Personnel Management Squadron, represented the Station at the Thame War Memorial on the high street. Finally, RAF Halton was represented by The Central Training School at the Waddesdon event.
Wing Commander Jenny Hone attended a reception for the War Widows and Cpl Casey Ravenbane had the honour of taking part in the Albert Hall Remembrance Service.
All Parades were supported by Station Personnel and Servicemen Awaiting Trade Training.
