What a wonderful day we all had watching the final day of the 2025 RAF Police Military Working Dog Trials at RAF Honington on the 25 Sep 25. Under the beautiful Suffolk sun and the keen eye of our esteemed judges the final four RAF Police Dog handler teams fought hard for the accolade of being crowned the 2025 RAF Police Military Working Dog Trials Champion.
Congratulations goes to RAF Police Cpl Bleach and Military Working Dog Axel from RAF Akrotiri. The team have been exceptional throughout the competition and were thrilled to accept their trophy from Provost Marshal (RAF) Group Captain Samantha Bunn.

Coming in second place was Cpl Sargent and Sepp from RAF Marham and third place went to Cpl Ledger and Ferat from RAF Brize Norton.

Throughout the week, competitors were tested in a variety of operational scenarios including core skills of agility and obedience, threat perception during day and night patrols, and a dog’s ability to detect and detain intruders through wind scent capabilities.
This year, we were proud to introduce ‘The Rebecca Hudson Trophy’ – a lasting tribute to a colleague, a friend, and an exceptional dog handler. Bec’s influence, dedication, and spirit will continue to inspire all who follow in her footsteps.
