CO's Cup in a Day 29 Sep21

Station runners during the 5K

CONGRATULATIONS to 1 Squadron and 27 Squadron RAF Regiment, joint winners of the CO’s Cup in a Day challenge.

The ‘Warrior’ spirit continues at RAF Honington as the Honington 5K kicked off the day followed by the Swimming Gala with teams formed from elements across station and points awarded for both events.  The Sports Club Expo also held in the Gym showcased some of the wide variety of station and RAF sports available to personnel.

The Station remains well and truly on track to motivate and encourage personnel to safely get the fun and fitness element back into daily life as we continue to emerge from the effects of Covid-19.

Station Commander Gp Capt Dutch Holland said:

The post Covid #KickStartHon is our efforts to get our people out of their Barrack Blocks and back into Sports, Force and Personal Development, Clubs and activities and meet real people face to face! I want all our people to unplug their PlayStations, log off social media and get out and get living.
