RAF Honington night flying

RAF Honington Airfield will be supporting Air Transport Flying and Ground activities 30 October till 2 November 2023.

Flying activity will take place from 1700-2200 hours with an A400M Atlas tactical transport aircraft using RAF Honington as an austere and remote location to conduct night-time flying training. The aircraft will land at the Airbase on several occasions to enable ground training for the crew and mobility teams being carried.

This further use of RAF Honington reflects the significance of the Airfield in delivering high value training to both aircrew and groundcrew for operations across the globe under the concept of Agile Combat Employment.

Our apologies that as the hour will have gone back on the clocks this weekend that it will inevitably be dark so hope that you enjoy some night time images of an A400M earlier this year deployed to Morocco in support of the Earthquake Relief.
