The Royal Air Force Police captivated audiences at Crufts 2025, the world's greatest dog show, with daily capability demonstrations that showcased the extraordinary skills of their working dogs and handlers.
Throughout the four-day event at the NEC Birmingham, RAF Police teams performed a series of impressive displays in the Good Citizen Training Scheme Arena highlighting the vital role these highly-trained canine teams play in military operations. Visitors witnessed demonstrations of detection work, bite development, and the exceptional bond between handlers and their dogs.

Provost Marshal Dog Inspector Warrant Officer Mark Ginger said: "The crowds were absolutely fantastic, we've been overwhelmed by the positive response from the public. People of all ages have been fascinated to learn about our working dogs and the crucial role they play in protecting RAF assets and personnel."

The RAF Police presence was supported by the RAF Benevolent Fund, which helped facilitate the interactive meet-and-greet sessions where visitors could speak directly with handlers about their work and training techniques.
"Having the opportunity to engage with the general public and explain what we do has been invaluable," added RAF Police Dog Handler Cpl Alys Webb. "We had lots of enquiries for our rehoming and fostering programme and just as much interest in how to become an RAF Police Dog handler."

The RAF Police team expressed their gratitude for the warm reception they received, with handlers and their canine partners enjoying the chance to demonstrate their skills in a non-military environment.
