RPAS Phase 2

Over the past 3 months, a team from the RAF Force Protection (FP) Centre at RAF Honington have completed a programme to deploy FP Remotely Piloted Air System (RPAS) to four RAF Main Operating Bases across the UK. Completion of this deployment now means that the RAF FP Wings at RAF Brize Norton, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Marham, and RAF Waddington are able to operate FP RPAS alongside other organic capabilities to secure those bases. The responsive Find and Fix capability of the FP RPAS, both by day and night, greatly enhances the ability of the FP Force to protect the Next Generation Royal Air Force, both at home and overseas.
