Wing Commander Tony Antoniou is a RAF Regiment Officer, whose service has principally been in Dismounted Close Combat and Air Land Integration (ALI) roles.

In recent years Tony enjoyed the pivotal command of 1 Squadron RAF Regiment, also here at RAF Honington, which included a full deployment on Exercise SAIF SARREA 3 in 2018. His tactical command experience has seen him deploy globally on exercise, conducting dismounted training in all environments and armoured operations as a Warrior vehicle commander. Tony was promoted to Wing Commander in August 2019 and returned to Germany to serve in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, as the Section Head of Force Protection within HQ Allied Air Command. He recently returned to the UK to assume command of the RAF Regiment Training Wing on 11 June 2021.

Tony is married with 2 young children and his interests mainly revolve around spending time with his family, however, when time permits, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, most outdoor activities, live music, campervans and the occasional single malt whiskey!
