Charity Efforts Celebrated with National Award

Group of military personnel receive RAF Ben Fund Award

It was a huge honour to hear RAF Leeming declared ‘RAF Station of the Year’ by the RAF Benevolent Fund at the charity's prestigious annual awards ceremony.

Now celebrating its 14th year, the awards presented by the RAF Benevolent Fund honour the dedication of the fundraisers, volunteers and partners who support the RAF’s longest standing welfare charity. Held in London, there were attended by hundreds of RAF personnel, veterans, and supporters of the RAF Benevolent Fund.

The Station was presented with the award for its strong advocacy of the RAF Benevolent Fund, which is the RAF's longest standing welfare charity. Over the course of a year, Leeming promoted its services and supported fundraising activity including the Riding on Air cycle challenge, serving veterans Christmas dinners as part of Operation Christmas, and selecting the Fund as its chosen charity for its anniversary dinner and awards evening.
