Lossie Fest is coming soon!
On Saturday 22nd July 2023, RAF Lossiemouth will be holding our annual friends and families day event, Lossie Fest. The yearly event is a fun-packed day for our service personnel to enjoy with their families. As our operations and exercises overseas continue families may be separated for several months, making the event especially important.
For this year's event we have secured a variety of entertainment and stalls for our guests to enjoy:
Important Times
- 1100 Doors Open
- 1200 (noon) Event Starts
- 1300 - 1500 Flying Display (subject to weather conditions)
- 1600 Event Ends
Flying Display Box
The flying display will take place over RAF Lossiemouth, creating the designated display area shown by the red box in the image below: 
Members of the public are not able to access our Families and Friends Day however we are advising anyone visiting specifically to see the aircraft displays to view them from north of the airfield, in a manner respectful to our neighbours, and to patronise local cafes and businesses where possible.

Safety Information
Aircraft operating within the display box are bound by the regulations set out by the Military and Civilian Aviation Authorities. With the exception of the Red Arrows who have special dispensation, display aircraft will not plan to overfly occupied structures at less than 500ft.
All at RAF Lossiemouth want to assure the community, as with all our activities, safety is our primary consideration. Our experienced Display Director has carried out the appropriate risk assessments required by the Military and Civil Aviation Authorities for the flying displays.
