Flight Lieutenant Haydn Maclean from RAF St Mawgan Brings Home Medals at Inter Services Swimming Championships

Flight Lieutenant Haydn Maclean from RAF St Mawgan proudly represented the Royal Air Force at the prestigious Inter Services Swimming Championships held in Portsmouth from 7th to 11th July.  Competing against strong contenders from the Army and Navy, Maclean delivered an outstanding performance across multiple events.

Highlights of the Event:

• 2nd place in 50m Freestyle

• 3rd place in 200m Individual Medley

• 1st place in Women’s 6x50m Freestyle Relay

• 1st place in Mixed 6x50m Freestyle Relay

Reflecting on the experience, Flight Lieutenant Maclean said, I had a fantastic time in Portsmouth representing the RAF at the Inter Services Swimming Championships.  It’s always an honour to be selected for events like this, and brilliant to reconnect with teammates from across the RAF.

This stellar performance reinforces the RAF’s commitment to sporting excellence and camaraderie across the services.
