RAF St Mawgan, Cornwall 17–21 August 2025
The RAF Football Association Senior Women’s Team united in Cornwall for a powerful week of pre-season training, setting the tone for the 2025/26 campaign.
Hosted at RAF St Mawgan, the camp brought together players from across the UK for five days of rigorous football drills, recovery sessions and team-building activities. Inspired by the electric England Women’s performance at the 2025 Euros, the squad embraced a robust schedule featuring daily four-hour training blocks, professional physio support and mental wellness initiatives.
FS Karl Craven, the RAF team’s manager said, Our first meet of the season at RAF St Mawgan was a huge success. The 5-day training camp in such a stunning setting proved the perfect launchpad.
The week culminated in a spirited match against Newquay FC at the Newquay AFC Ground, showcasing the team’s progress and cohesion. The result was an impressive 13-0 to the RAF.

Off the pitch, players enjoyed moments of camaraderie through social events and a lively team quiz reinforcing the RAF’s commitment to fitness, teamwork and mental resilience across its ranks.

This camp marks a vital step in the team’s journey, not just in football excellence, but in contributing to the broader operational effectiveness of the Royal Air Force.
