RAF Wittering hosts visit to RAF Reserves and training units

RAF Wittering welcomed Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Reserve Forces and Cadets (RF&C) Major General Marc Overton for a visit focused on direct engagement with the RAF Auxiliary Air Force (Logistics) and Phase 1 training units based on Station.

Major General Overton was joined by the Commandant General of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force (RAuxAF) and Director Reserves - Air Vice‑Marshal Lincoln, as well as Honorary Air Cdre 504 (County of Nottingham) Sqn RAuxAF - Air Cdre Veronica Pickering.

During the visit, Maj Gen Overton met with personnel from HQ Reserves Logs Support Wing (RLSW), 504 Squadron RAuxAF and the Central Reserves Support Wing (CRSW)  to discuss the vital role RAuxAF Logistics personnel play in supporting the Regular Force. Conversations also covered RAuxAF recruitment and the delivery of Phase 1 training. The visitors also observed Phase 3 field training with RAuxAF personnel taking part in Ex CENTURIAN FORT.
