The Unit
809 Naval Air Squadron (NAS) is based at RAF Marham. Originally formed in 1941 the squadron has taken part in numerous operations with the most noted being the Falklands conflict. The squadron has disbanded five times during their years before being re-commissioned to fly the F-35B Lightning.
