Careers Fairs

Careers Fairs allows the team to visit you and allows students to ask questions, interact with our trained RAF staff in person, and hear real-life experiences of serving RAF aviators. Fairs also offer information that students can take home.

RAF Virtual Work Experience - opening up defence careers to every young person

The Royal Air Force has partnered with Springpod to launch a new, nationally scalable virtual work experience programme. It marks the first time any of the Armed Forces have adopted this approach, opening up opportunities to thousands of young people across the country.

Personal Development Training

Personal Development Training (PDT) develop key skills required for RAF roles and in the work place, such as teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. A sports hall or large outdoor space required.

Interview Skills Workshop

This package enhances student job-seeking skills by means of interview instruction (including preparation, delivery and post-interview actions), demonstrations and role-playing. We can also conduct mock interviews, providing constructive feedback and invaluable practice in preparation for the work-place.

If any student(s) require specific information about the RAF we are able to offer small, focused sessions. These sessions will be tailored to meet the requirements of the student(s)

RAF Insight Days

  • Register your school or college with the Community Careers Liaison Officers (CCLOs) and book in a visit at one of the following stations:

    • RAF Leeming (Yorkshire)
    • RAF Wittering (Peterborough)
    • RAF Cosford (Wolverhampton)
    • RAF Odiham (Basingstoke)
    • RAF Brize Norton (Oxfordshire)
  • Take a closer look at life and careers with the Station. Meet serving personnel from a range of specialisations and professions. Have a short tour of key facilities (including accommodation, gym, and welfare areas) and where operationally feasible, an aircraft tour (subject to Station and operational commitments).
